Savannah Resumes Gold Production at Georgetown Gold Processing Plant

Savannah Goldfields Limited (ASX: SVG) has confirmed the restart of gold production at the Georgetown Gold Processing Plant, which forms part of its Georgetown Gold Project situated approximately 480 kilometres southwest of Cairns in Far North Queensland. The first gold doré, weighing approximately 1.5 kilograms, has been poured following the recommissioning of the gold room—marking the Company’s first production since January 2024. All major components of the plant, including crushing, milling, gravity recovery, leaching, and elution circuits, are now fully operational. Milling operations have recommenced with lower-grade feed, with throughput expected to rise as stable operating conditions are achieved.

Current crushed feed stocks exceed 3,500 tonnes, supported by an additional 6,000 tonnes of uncrushed material. Preparations are advancing for mining up to 18,000 tonnes of Inferred Mineral Resource from the Big Reef open pit, targeted to begin in November. In addition, mining operations at the Agate Creek site, along with the processing of extracted ore at the Georgetown Gold Processing Plant, are scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
