Cooper Metals Secures New North Queensland Gold Licence with Exploration Set to Begin

Cooper Metals Limited (ASX: CPM) has been granted an Exploration Permit for Minerals (EPM) 28918—Wandrop. The license is located less than 10km from Savannah Goldfields' (ASX: SVG) Big Reef Gold Project and near several primary gold resources, including 590koz at SVG, 1.4Moz at Woolgar Gold, and the historic Kidston Gold Mine.

A desktop review of historical data has already outlined multiple gold anomalies within EPM28918. Fieldwork is scheduled in the coming weeks to extend geochemistry coverage. Two additional licenses (EPMs 28922 and 28924) remain under application, and decisions are expected in the coming months. Importantly, no rents are payable on the tenements until 2028, making these zero-cost acquisitions. Once the remaining permits are granted, Cooper Metals aims to fast-track target generation. Exploration aligns with the Company's broader strategy of building a copper-gold portfolio in highly prospective districts.
