European Lithium Ltd (ASX: EUR), the majority shareholder in Critical Metals Corp. with a 63% stake, is set to benefit as CRML receives a conditional, non-binding Letter of Interest (LoI) from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM). The LoI supports a potential US$120 million non-dilutive funding package for the development of the Tanbreez Rare Earth Project in Greenland. The proposed 15-year financing is subject to key milestones including permitting, feasibility studies, environmental assessments, and EXIM’s due diligence.
The Tanbreez Project, among the world's largest rare earth deposits, is positioned to enhance Western critical mineral supply chains. While the LoI is still preliminary, it marks a significant step forward in securing strategic resources. Final execution will depend on the completion of financial models, construction and operations contracts, and binding off-take agreements with creditworthy buyers.
