Estrella Resources Limited (ASX: ESR) has received its first assay results from the Ira Miri manganese prospect in Timor-Leste, confirming high-grade intersections. Key results include 6.45m @ 51.7% Mn (EMDD001), 8.05m @ 53.0% Mn (EMDD002), and 1.5m @ 35.8% Mn (EMDD003). These assays validate earlier discoveries and highlight the potential for significant manganese mineralisation in the region.
The company has adjusted its exploration approach to target both primary and secondary manganese beds within the Noni Formation. Recent drilling (EMDD022 and EMDD023) intersected secondary enriched manganese zones, strengthening the geological model. Estrella is now extending drilling along strike to define mineralisation continuity as part of its maiden campaign, which includes 3,000m diamond and 10,000m RC drilling. With strong assay results, ongoing exploration, and plans to develop a market appraisal parcel of 20,000–30,000 tonnes, Estrella is advancing Timor-Leste’s first modern minerals drilling program.
