High-Grade Monazite Discovery Enhances Rare Earth Potential at Minta Est.

Peak Minerals Limited (ASX: PUA) has confirmed a major high-grade monazite discovery at the Minta Est locality of its Minta Rutile Project in Cameroon. Recent assays reveal in-situ TREO grades ranging from 0.5% to 1.2% in free-dig material, with monazite making up to 73% of the heavy mineral assemblage. Magnet rare earth concentrations exceed 25% MREO, including up to 22.5% NdPr and 2.7% DyTb — essential components for green energy technologies.

All 47 reported drill holes intersected continuous mineralisation from surface, with heavy mineral grades up to 7.8% HM. This expands the mineralised footprint to 660km², with assays from 290 additional holes still pending. Importantly, monazite was separated using conventional mineral sands processing methods, highlighting low-cost, scalable extraction potential. The discovery marks a significant step toward establishing Minta Est as a globally significant source of high-value rare earth elements and mineral sands.
