Horseshoe Metals Secures DSO Mining Approval for Horseshoe Lights Copper-Gold Project

Horseshoe Metals Limited (ASX: HOR) has received Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) Mining Approval from the Department of Energy, Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DEMIRS) for its flagship Horseshoe Lights Copper-Gold Project (HSL) in Western Australia. This key milestone paves the way for the Company to commence mobilisation of operations personnel in early July, with start-up of DSO activities planned within the quarter. The approval is expected to unlock significant near-term cash flows through the sale of high-grade copper stockpiles already available on-site.

Horseshoe is advancing negotiations with multiple domestic and international offtake partners and anticipates strong demand for its DSO copper product, supported by robust copper market fundamentals. In parallel, site recommissioning began in early May, and the Company is finalising exploration and drilling campaigns to test additional targets within the HSL project. This dual-track approach, combining near-term production and ongoing exploration, marks a pivotal phase in Horseshoe’s growth trajectory.
