Kinetiko Energy Secures AU$2.2 million to Drive South African Gas Ambitions

Kinetiko Energy Ltd (ASX: KKO), a gas exploration company focused on South Africa, has successfully raised AU$2.2 million through a placement backed by directors and key shareholders. The funds will primarily support ongoing exploration and production testing at its Mpumalanga projects. Directors have committed AU$310,000, and an additional AU$500,000 loan has been converted into equity, aligning interests and strengthening the balance sheet. The placement includes 55 million new shares at AU$0.04, each with a free unlisted option exercisable at AU$0.07 until June 2027. With 6 Tcf of 2C contingent gas resources, Kinetiko aims to provide reliable base-load power in a region transitioning from aging coal infrastructure. The capital injection will help determine commercial gas flow rates and de-risk development. The company aims to establish itself as a top onshore gas provider, delivering a cleaner energy solution aligned with South Africa’s transition to a more sustainable power landscape.
