Lynas Rare Earths Launches AU$750 million Equity Raising to Accelerate Growth

Lynas Rare Earths Limited (ASX: LYC) has announced a fully underwritten institutional pro-rata placement to raise approximately AU$750 million, in addition to a non-underwritten share purchase plan (SPP) targeting up to AU$75 million. New shares will be issued at AU$13.25 each, reflecting a 10% discount to the last traded price of AU$14.73 on 27 August 2025 and an 8.6% discount to the 10-day VWAP of AU$14.50.

Proceeds will fund the Company’s Towards 2030 strategy, which focuses on two pillars: Harvest, optimising performance from the Lynas 2025 capital investments to maximise returns, and grow, which includes expanding resources at Mt Weld, increasing downstream rare earth separation and processing capacity, and entering the non-China metal and magnet supply chain through partnerships and direct investments. CEO Amanda Lacaze emphasised that the raising strengthens Lynas’ balance sheet and positions the company to capture value in a fast-evolving rare earths market, while advancing global supply chain resilience outside China.
