Marmota Completes Maiden Drilling Program at Greenewood Gold Discovery

Marmota Limited (ASX: MEU) has wrapped up its maiden drilling campaign at the Greenewood gold prospect, which forms part of the company’s Gawler Gold Project in South Australia. The maiden RC program comprised 146 holes for a total of 15,480 metres, with an average depth of ~106 metres. The campaign, which was twice expanded from its original plan, was completed ahead of schedule, reflecting strong operational efficiency. Samples from the program are now being collected and prepared for laboratory testing in Adelaide, with assay results expected in early October.

Greenewood forms part of the Golden Moon Joint Venture with Coombedown Resources Pty Ltd, with Marmota holding a 90% interest via Half Moon. Strategically located about 35km northwest of Aurora Tank and 30km northeast of the Challenger mine, Greenewood has not been drilled since 2018. Chairman Dr Colin Rose described the program as “executed flawlessly” and emphasised that the discovery complements Marmota’s pipeline of adjacent deposits, further enhancing the growth potential of the Gawler Gold Project.
