Maronan Metals Explores Toll Treatment Option with Austral Resources

Maronan Metals Limited (ASX: MMA) has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Austral Resources Australia Ltd (ASX: AR1) to evaluate the feasibility of processing ore from the Maronan Project at Austral’s Rocklands facility near Cloncurry, Queensland. The collaboration supports Maronan’s strategy to pursue cost-effective processing pathways for its silver-lead and copper-gold resources.

The MoU outlines plans for joint assessment of metallurgical compatibility, commercial tolling structures, regulatory pathways, and logistical requirements. While not legally binding, the MoU provides Maronan with access to third-party infrastructure without heavy upfront capital investment, potentially reducing development risk. There is no immediate financial impact, and future agreements will depend on the outcomes of technical and commercial due diligence. The initiative represents a strategic step toward leveraging regional synergies and advancing the Maronan Project’s development timeline.
