Minerals Exploration Expands High-Priority Gold Opportunities at Waitekauri
Minerals Exploration Limited (ASX: MEX) continues to advance exploration across its Waitekauri Gold Project, with ongoing diamond drilling focused on the Jubilee South Prospect. The current program is designed to investigate shallow extensions of a historically productive gold system while improving the understanding of mineralisation within one of New Zealand’s most prospective gold districts. The project lies close to several established gold operations, providing strong geological support for further discoveries. Two drill holes have already been completed, with laboratory analysis underway, while the remaining holes are expected to further define the continuity of the mineralised zones.
Beyond Jubilee South, the company has identified several promising drill targets at the Sovereign Prospect through a comprehensive review of historical exploration records. Previously reported underground sampling and drilling indicate extensive high-grade mineralisation that remains open in multiple directions, offering significant exploration upside. Planned drilling, combined with ongoing geological modelling and structural interpretation, is expected to refine priority targets and enhance the project's long-term development potential. With multiple exploration milestones approaching, Minerals Exploration continues to strengthen the growth potential of its Waitekauri gold portfolio.
