Mount Hope Mining Expands Strategic Footprint in Cobar Basin with New Exploration Licence

Mount Hope Mining Limited (ASX: MHM) has significantly strengthened its exploration footprint within the highly prospective Cobar Basin in New South Wales through the grant of Exploration Licence EL 6902. The new license, awarded to MHM’s subsidiary Fisher Resources Pty Ltd, expands the Company’s landholding from 175km² to 422km², adding approximately 247km² of contiguous tenure. Importantly, the license secures a 40km strike length along the basin-bounding Scotts Craig Fault, a key structural corridor linked to Cobar-style polymetallic mineralization.

Historical data compilation and geochemical analysis have already revealed promising anomalies along this fault zone, providing strong technical justification for exploration. Independent structural studies also highlight the Scotts Craig Fault’s regional importance in focusing on mineralizing fluids similar to those associated with significant deposits across the basin. This expansion supports Mount Hope’s long-term goal to consolidate a commanding position in one of Australia’s most prolific mineral provinces and unlock the potential of its Mt Hope Project through ongoing systematic exploration.
