New Drilling Program Boosts Exploration at Arafura Rare Earths

Arafura Rare Earths Limited (ASX: ARU) has advanced its exploration activities with the initiation of a new 2,500-meter reverse circulation (RC) drilling campaign at its Nolans Project in the Northern Territory. The program is designed to test near-mine targets and expand the current mineral resource, with drilling focused on extensions to high-grade rare earth mineralization identified in earlier studies. According to the update, this exploration initiative aligns with the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its resource base and support future production scalability. Arafura continues to benefit from strong demand dynamics for neodymium-praseodymium (NdPr), essential for permanent magnets used in electric vehicles and renewable energy technologies. The Nolans Project, already recognized as a globally significant NdPr resource, is strategically positioned to deliver supply security outside of China. With this program, the company aims to unlock further value and enhance its role in the critical minerals supply chain.
