NH3 Advances WAH2 Clean Ammonia Project

NH3 Clean Energy Limited (ASX: NH3) has taken a significant step forward with its flagship WAH2 clean ammonia project by commencing the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) phase. The company has already launched two of the three workstreams, focusing on project approvals and commercial agreements. Environmental surveys, including flora, fauna, and heritage assessments, are scheduled to begin in September, which will help de-risk the development timeline since such studies are often season dependent.

On the commercial side, NH3 is advancing offtake and partnership negotiations toward binding agreements ahead of the Final Investment Decision (FID). Meanwhile, the engineering component of FEED will begin once discussions with potential construction and operational partners are finalized. These talks could open alternative pathways by bringing in participants with combined expertise in construction, commissioning, operations, or financing. NH3 expects all FEED workstreams to be completed by the end of 2026, marking a clear roadmap for progressing WAH2 toward production.
