Market Alert: Trump-Xi APEC Summit a Critical Test for Global Trade Stability
Osmond Resources Limited (ASX: OSM) has confirmed drilling will commence on 1 October 2025 at its Orion EU Critical Minerals Project in Jaen Province, Andalucía, Spain. The program will consist of 15 drill holes across an 86km² permit area. Initial holes are designed to confirm geological interpretations and validate the continuity and grades previously identified from outcrop samples. These early results are expected to provide clarity on the potential for pervasive seams of critical minerals throughout the project.
The broader drill program aims to establish the overall scale of mineralisation across the permit area. Orion hosts a siliciclastic system containing high-value critical minerals, including rutile (titanium), zircon, hafnium, and rare earth elements, with historical exploration in the region dating back to the 1950s and 1960s. Osmond is targeting high-grade layers of rutile, zircon, and monazite as part of its strategy to fast-track EU-focused critical minerals development.
