Patriot Resources Acquires High-Grade Sugarloaf Copper Deposit in Zambias Mumbwa District

Patriot Resources Limited (ASX: PAT) has agreed to acquire a 100% interest in the high-grade Sugarloaf Copper Deposit in Zambia’s Mumbwa District. The acquisition enhances Patriot’s portfolio with an advanced-stage asset featuring an Exploration Target of approximately 1.6Mt–2.5Mt grading 2.0%–2.5% total copper (TCu), equating to 32,000–62,500 tonnes of contained copper.

Historical drilling includes standout results such as 91.76m at 2.02% TCu. Strategically located just 4.4km southeast of Sinomine’s Kitumba Project, which consists of a smelter under construction, Sugarloaf is ideally positioned for potential near-term development. Patriot plans to align Sugarloaf’s production with the commissioning of the Kitumba processing facility in late 2026. The orebody, which comes to the surface and is suitable for open-pit mining, lies close to grid power and is supported by a valid mining license until 2033. Acquisition terms include a US$10,000 deposit, 30-day due diligence, and deferred payments of up to US$1 million.
