Pilot Energy Gains Green Light for Eureka 3D Seismic Survey

Pilot Energy Limited (ASX: PGY) has received environmental clearance from NOPSEMA to carry out the Eureka 3D Seismic Survey in the offshore Perth Basin. Covering around 400 km², the survey will focus on the Kingia Gas Play Fairway and the 1.1 TCF Leander Gas Prospect, aiming to refine exploration targets and support future drilling. This approval marks a major milestone in Pilot Energy’s farmout efforts for the WA-481-P permit, paving the way for the next phase of the process. The company is now preparing to commence management presentations for shortlisted potential partners in the near future. The survey will also supply essential data to expand carbon storage potential within the G-12-AP Greenhouse Gas Permit. As part of its clean energy transition strategy, Pilot Energy is repurposing the Cliff Head Oil Field for Australia’s first offshore CO₂ storage project while progressing hydrogen and clean ammonia production for the APAC region — reinforcing its commitment to a sustainable energy future.
