Platinum Asset Management Reports April 2025 FUM Decline Amid Market Headwinds

Platinum Asset Management Limited (ASX: PTM) reported a decline in its Funds Under Management (FUM) to AU$9.65 billion as of 30 April 2025, down from AU$10.28 billion the previous month. The drop reflects net outflows of approximately AU$243 million, including AU$215 million from Platinum Trust Funds, and was influenced by weaker equity market conditions. While retail outflows moderated compared to earlier months, a significant setback occurred with the termination of an institutional mandate valued at AU$958 million, effective 9 May 2025. This loss is expected to be reflected in the May figures. However, Platinum plans to mitigate the revenue impact through accelerated cost-saving initiatives in FY26, which are in addition to previously announced efficiency measures.
