Santos Delivers Strong Half-Year Results with Major Projects on Track

Santos Limited (ASX: STO) reported solid first-half 2025 results, underscoring the resilience of its low-cost operating model and diversified energy portfolio. The company generated US$2.6 billion in sales revenue, US$1.1 billion in free cash flow, and an underlying profit of US$508 million. An interim dividend of US13.4 cents per share was declared, reflecting disciplined capital allocation. Production totalled 44.1 mmboe, supported by strong LNG prices averaging US$11.57 per mmbtu.

Operationally, Santos achieved key milestones, with Darwin LNG ready for startup and Barossa LNG nearing first gas, both expected to boost output significantly. The Pikka Phase 1 project in Alaska advanced ahead of schedule, with first oil now guided for early 2026. The company also progressed its decarbonisation strategy, with the Moomba CCS project storing over one million tonnes of CO₂e since startup. Santos remains focused on shareholder returns, cost discipline, and delivering sustainable growth
