Strata Minerals Starts Maiden Diamond Drilling at Penny South

Strata Minerals Limited (ASX: SMX) has commenced its first-ever diamond drilling at the Penny South Gold Project in Western Australia. The program involves three holes totalling about 1,250 metres, designed to follow up on mineralisation highlighted in earlier RC drilling. At Target 3, two holes reaching depths of 200–250 metres will explore down-dip and down-plunge extensions, including zones near a prior 4m intercept grading 2.02g/t gold. A deep 800-metre hole at Target 1, co-funded by the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme, will test potential high-grade extensions linked to the nearby Penny Mine operated by Ramelius Resources. This initiative is expected to deliver critical geological insights to guide future exploration. Assay results are anticipated within 4–6 weeks. Located in a proven gold district, Penny South covers 2.5 km of the Penny West Shear, offering strong potential for new high-grade gold discoveries.
