Generation Development Group Limited (ASX: GDG) has announced a strategic alliance between its subsidiary, Generation Life, and global investment giant BlackRock. This partnership aims to design and distribute Holistic Retirement Solutions tailored to Australian retirees, focusing on sustainable income with longevity protection during the transition from asset accumulation to decumulation. BlackRock will invest AU$25 million in GDG through a minority shareholding priced at AU$4.15 per share, matching GDG’s recent capital raise. The funds will support the development and rollout of these new retirement products, expected to launch within the year. This collaboration leverages Generation Life’s innovative approach to retirement income and BlackRock’s global scale and expertise. A dedicated steering committee will explore further opportunities, reinforcing GDG’s growth trajectory following its recent acquisitions of Lonsec and Evidentia. This alliance underscores GDG’s leadership in retirement and investment solutions while promising enhanced value for retirees, financial advisers, and shareholders
