Strategic Joint Venture Boosts Southern Hemispheres Copper-Gold Prospects

Southern Hemisphere Mining Limited (ASX: SUH) has entered a pivotal joint venture agreement with FMR Resources, granting the latter the right to earn up to 60% interest in four concessions within the Llahuin Copper-Gold Project in Chile. This partnership targets the high-potential Curiosity-Southern Porphyry zone, supported by an AU$13 million exploration commitment and an AU$2.67 million staged payment. The initial drilling phase includes a 1,400m deep hole scheduled for Q4 2025. While SUH retains 100% ownership of the resource-rich northern concessions, including all existing JORC resources, FMR’s involvement brings deep technical expertise and fresh capital. SUH will also advance its wholly owned Cardawan Copper Project in Western Australia. The collaboration leverages geological data suggesting a large, untested porphyry system and is set to define drill-ready targets through advanced geophysical modelling, positioning the company for a potential transformative copper-gold discovery
