Market Alert: Strong Breakout Setup Emerging in ASX 200 Utilities Sector
Sunrise Energy Metals Limited (ASX: SRL) has secured commitments to raise AU$6 million through a Placement of 20 million shares at AU$0.30 per share, each accompanied by a 1-for-1 unlisted option exercisable at AU$0.40, expiring 31 May 2027. Additionally, the company will offer a Share Purchase Plan (SPP) on identical terms to existing shareholders to raise up to an extra AU$1.5 million. Both the Placement and SPP are subject to shareholder approval, anticipated in early June.
The funds will be used to advance the high-grade scandium drilling campaign at the Syerston Project, complete the project's feasibility study by Q3 2025, and enhance customer and end-user engagement. Despite the Placement being issued at a discount, it provides funding certainty amid high market volatility. Notably, Ivanhoe Capital has committed AU$3 million as part of the Placement, with the entire package subject to shareholder approval.
