Syrah Resources Resumes Graphite Operations in Mozambique

Syrah Resources Limited (ASX: SYR), an Australian industrial minerals and technology company, has recommenced natural graphite production at its Balama Graphite Operation in Mozambique as of June 2025. The resumption follows restored site access and necessary preparatory work. Syrah plans to gradually ramp up production to rebuild inventory and meet robust ex-China demand, driven by global supply chain disruptions. The company will operate Balama in campaign mode and aims to expedite shipments through bulk deliveries in the September quarter. Additionally, Syrah continues engagement with Mozambique's government and local communities to support site access and resolve issues linked to resettled farmers. While operations have resumed, a declared force majeure under the Balama Mining Agreement remains in place. Syrah’s broader mission includes becoming a global leader in high-quality graphite and anode materials, supporting battery and industrial markets through its integrated operations in Africa and the United States
