Tartana Minerals Limited (ASX: TAT) has announced a director-led financing initiative alongside a leadership transition. The company has secured firm commitments for an AU$1.55 million unsecured debt facility, led by directors Stephen Bartrop (AU$900,000) and Alistair Lewis (AU$450,000), with AU$700,000 already received and the remainder expected by the end of the week. The funding will be used for exploration activities, advancing the Mungana venture, and repaying other financial facilities.
In a boardroom update, Alistair Lewis has been appointed as the new Chairman, succeeding Jihad Malaeb, who stepped down due to family commitments but will continue as a non-executive director. Dr Lewis, who joined the board in February 2024, brings a combination of medical and mining industry experience. His appointment marks a strategic step forward as the company continues to focus on unlocking the potential of its critical metals portfolio in Far North Queensland.
