Thunderbird Builds Momentum at Kookabookra Gold Project with High-Grade Assays and Expanding Targets.

Thunderbird Resources (ASX: THB) has reported strong progress at its 100%-owned Kookabookra Gold Project in NSW, with rock chip assays returning up to 153.5g/t Au at the Mt Secret prospect. An Induced Polarisation (IP) survey is now underway at Mt Secret and Mannix to refine drill targets, with results expected by the end of July. Soil sampling has confirmed significant gold-in-soil anomalies, including 926ppb Au at Mannix and 282ppb Au at Mt Secret, supporting the project’s potential for an Intrusion Related Gold System (IRGS).

Exploration at additional prospects like Bear Hill and Butchers Reef has identified numerous historical workings, with assay results due mid-July. Meanwhile, interpretation of LiDAR data has revealed 428 undocumented mine workings. With land access secured across key areas, Thunderbird is on track to begin maiden drilling in Q3 2025, positioning Kookabookra as a high-potential gold project within its NSW portfolio.
