TMK Energy Successfully Drills LF-07 Pilot Well, Intersects 54m Net Coal.

TMK Energy Limited (ASX: TMK) has completed drilling of the LF-07 pilot production well at the Gurvantes XXXV Coal Seam Gas Project in Mongolia to a depth of 420 metres. The well intersected approximately 54 metres of net coal, matching geological forecasts and results from nearby wells. Drilling was executed safely and efficiently under a fixed-cost contract using Major Drilling’s TXD200 rig, marking its first deployment in Mongolia.

LF-07 concludes a 12-month campaign that added four pilot wells, more than doubling production capacity. Next steps include installing the downhole pump, connecting to production facilities, and commissioning. CEO Dougal Ferguson praised the team’s timely, on-budget performance and expressed confidence in unlocking the project’s significant gas potential in the South Gobi Desert.
