Universal Biosensors Updates Funding Strategy and Due Diligence Extension.

Universal Biosensors, Inc. (ASX: UBI) has provided an update on its funding strategy and ongoing discussions with substantial security holder Viburnum Funds Pty Ltd. The discussions relate to a proposed secured loan facility, initially outlined in a non-binding term sheet announced on 2 July 2025. At present, no binding commitment has been made by Viburnum, and the conditions required for completion of the funding structure have not yet been met.

To allow further due diligence and negotiation, Viburnum has agreed to extend the due diligence period by one week, now concluding on 22 August 2025. Universal Biosensors confirmed that it will provide additional market updates, including a revised indicative timetable, once the terms of the proposed funding arrangement are finalised. This extension reflects the company’s commitment to securing a robust funding solution while ensuring all necessary conditions are addressed in collaboration with its key stakeholder.
