Vanadium Resources Limited: Advancing Towards DSO Operations

In South Africa, Vanadium Resources Limited (ASX: VR8) is moving forward with its Steelpoortdrift Vanadium Project, aiming to launch Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) operations in the near future. The company is negotiating offtake agreements, with ongoing discussions with China Precious Asia Limited while also receiving multiple stronger competing proposals from trading houses and end-users across China, Japan, and Europe. To maximize shareholder value, VR8 is evaluating all proposals in line with its long-term strategic objectives.

Operational readiness is advancing, with a mining contractor identified and terms close to finalization. The company also appointed experienced mining engineer Jan Frederick “Jacques” Viljoen as COO to oversee DSO operations. Key regulatory approvals, including the mining right and environmental authorizations, are already secured. Beyond DSO, VR8 is exploring strategic partnerships, concentrate development, offtake-based financing, and access to processing infrastructure for potential downstream products such as V₂O₅ flake and vanadium alloys
