Wia Gold Raises AU$30 million to Accelerate Kokoseb Project Development

Wia Gold Limited (ASX: WIA) has successfully raised AU$30 million through a share placement at AU$0.30 per share, backed by strong institutional and sophisticated investor support. The funds will accelerate resource development and exploration at the Kokoseb gold project in Namibia, where the Mineral Resource Estimate recently increased to 2.93Moz of gold. Proceeds will also support feasibility studies, permitting, social and environmental programs, as well as corporate needs.

Following the placement, Wia expects to hold about AU$55 million in cash, positioning it to progress the Kokoseb deposit towards a Definitive Feasibility Study. The company has also consolidated a large land position in Namibia’s Damara Belt and holds significant exploration ground in Côte d’Ivoire, spanning over 4,000 km². This capital raise underlines investor confidence in Wia’s growth strategy and its potential to expand Kokoseb into a major gold development.
