Beach Energy Highlights Robust FY25 Growth with Strategic Repositioning

Beach Energy Limited (ASX: BPT) has outlined a solid foundation for long-term growth after delivering strong FY25 operational and financial results. At the time of writing, the company’s shares are trading at $1.18, up 3.5%.

Pivot to Resilient, High-Margin Assets

The company is reshaping its portfolio towards long-life, low-cost assets in Eastern and Western Australia, focusing on maximising its share in key domestic gas markets. A new asset-based organisational structure and disciplined capital allocation have led to over $130 million in cost and capital efficiencies, with unit field operating costs reduced by 18% and sustaining capital expenditure down by 20%.

Strong Financial Outcomes

Beach reported a 46% increase in operating cash flow to $1.1 billion, while pre-growth free cash flow surged over fourfold to $657 million. Sales volumes rose to 24.7 MMboe, supported by higher LNG cargo revenues and favourable gas re-contracting deals. The company also declared a record fully franked final dividend of 6 cents per share, marking a 200% increase year-on-year.

Sustainability and Safety Excellence

Beach continues to progress its sustainability targets, having injected over 1 million tonnes of CO2e at the Moomba CCS project. The company is on track to achieve a 35% reduction in emissions intensity by 2030 and maintained methane emissions below 0.2%. In FY25, it recorded its best safety performance in 14 years, with only one recordable injury and no significant hydrocarbon spills. With a sharpened commercial focus and strategic infrastructure advantages, Beach Energy is positioning itself as a leading supplier in Australia’s evolving domestic energy landscape.
