Orpheus Uranium Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of Oobagooma Project

Orpheus Uranium Limited (ASX:ORP) has announced the 100% acquisition of the Oobagooma Uranium Project from Jackson Cage Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Elevate Uranium Ltd (ASX:EL8). Located in Western Australia’s Canning Basin, the project features sedimentary-style roll-front mineralisation across a 9km strike length, with historical drill results up to 3,775 ppm eU₃O₈. Last explored in 1983, the site remains underexplored using modern techniques.

This acquisition strengthens Orpheus’ diversified uranium portfolio, expanding its footprint across Australia’s most prospective districts. Geological modelling indicates multiple stacked roll fronts, suggesting strong exploration upside. Managing Director Clinton Dubieniecki stated that the project’s potential scale compares favourably with Alligator Energy’s Samphire Deposit and Boss Energy’s Gould’s Dam. Orpheus plans systematic exploration and stakeholder engagement to advance this high-value uranium asset.
