Market Alert: Gold and Silver Extend Bull Run Amid Global Uncertainty

Barton Gold Secures AU$17.5 Million Capital Raise Led by Franklin Templeton

Oct 14, 2025

Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX: BGD) has secured firm commitments to raise AU$17.5 million through a AU$15 million placement led by Franklin Templeton and a AU$2.5 million Share Purchase Plan (SPP). The placement, priced at AU$1.25 per share, represents a 3.8% discount to Barton’s last traded price of AU$1.30.

Funds will accelerate Barton’s Stage 1 Central Gawler Mill operations and Tunkillia Gold Project development, targeting production by late 2026. The raise strengthens Barton’s balance sheet to an estimated AU$23 million post-offer. Managing Director Alexander Scanlon said the investment highlights growing institutional confidence as Barton transitions toward large-scale gold production in South Australia’s Gawler Craton. The company now positions itself as a future 150,000oz per annum gold producer with 2.2Moz gold and 3.1Moz silver JORC resources.
