Alfabs Secures New Mining Equipment Hire Contract to Strengthen Cash Flow
Alfabs Australia Limited (ASX: AAL) has entered into a commercial hire agreement for its Continuous Miner CM04 with a Queensland-based mining customer. The contract will commence in August 2026 for a minimum period of 12 months and is expected to generate annualised revenue of approximately AU$2.5 million. The agreement reflects continued demand for the company's mining equipment hire services and expands the utilisation of its refurbished asset fleet.
The contract aligns with Alfabs' long-term strategy of growing its equipment hire business through the Shell program while improving operational efficiency. Management stated that higher fleet utilisation is expected to support sustainable free cash flow generation, strengthen the balance sheet, and advance the company's objective of reinstating dividends. Alfabs continues to provide mining, engineering, maintenance, fabrication, and industrial services to customers across Australia's east coast, reinforcing its position in the resources sector.
