Alma Metals Expands Briggs Operations with New Exploration Camp
Alma Metals Limited (ASX: ALM) has strengthened its operational capabilities at the Briggs Copper Project in Queensland by acquiring a fully equipped 16-person exploration camp. The new infrastructure is expected to significantly improve on-site efficiency by more than doubling accommodation capacity, paving the way for the deployment of a second drill rig. This expansion supports the company's ongoing resource growth strategy and Pre-Feasibility Study activities. The camp features ensuite accommodation, air-conditioned rooms, and a dedicated kitchen and dining facility, enhancing workforce comfort and reducing travel-related fatigue. Meanwhile, the mineral resource infill drilling program continues to progress, with around 1,600 metres completed across four drill holes. Copper mineralisation has been intersected in all completed holes, meeting geological expectations, while laboratory assay results from the initial drilling campaign are anticipated within the coming weeks. The investment is expected to improve drilling productivity, strengthen project management, and accelerate development milestones at the Briggs Copper Project.
