Starpharma Holdings Limited (ASX: SPL) has strengthened its position in precision oncology after filing a new patent application covering the use of its proprietary DEP® dendrimer technology in radioligand therapy. The move follows encouraging preclinical findings that demonstrated improved tumour targeting, longer retention within tumours, and reduced accumulation in healthy tissues across multiple cancer targets, including HER2, PSMA, and EGFR. The results indicate that the platform may deliver a broader therapeutic window by enhancing treatment effectiveness while limiting off-target exposure. The consistent performance across different oncology targets highlights the flexibility of the DEP® platform and its potential for developing multiple radiopharmaceutical candidates.
