BauMart Holdings Limited Expands Modular Housing Initiative with Pilot Project
BauMart Holdings Limited (ASX: BMH) has released additional information regarding its BuildMart Modular pilot project, highlighting its growing focus on modular housing procurement and supply chain services. Four modular homes have already arrived in Western Australia, been transported to the project location, and are awaiting installation, with commissioning expected in the first quarter of FY27, subject to normal construction and regulatory approvals. The company's role is centred on sourcing and supplying the modular units to an independent licensed builder responsible for on-site assembly. The pilot is designed to demonstrate the efficiency, quality, and affordability of the modular housing model while helping BauMart evaluate its long-term commercial potential. The initiative is expected to contribute around AU$80,000 in operating profit for FY26, with payment anticipated in Q1 FY27. Building on the experience gained, BauMart plans to expand its modular sourcing capabilities and pursue future opportunities in Australia's evolving affordable housing sector.
