Mineralised Riverbed Sediments Confirmed in Johor River Sampling Program

BPH Global Ltd (ASX: BP8) has reported assay results from riverbed soil samples collected from two freshwater sites along the Johor River in southern Malaysia, confirming the presence of copper, silver, and selected rare earth elements within the sediment system. The sampling program identified elevated levels of copper, silver, lanthanum, yttrium, and neodymium, with samples collected both adjacent to a mining site and approximately 500 metres downstream. Assays were completed by Marchwood Laboratory Services as part of the Company’s staged research and development activities under Project 6–7. The results support BP8’s working hypothesis that mineralised sediments within the river system may provide metals available for biological uptake, with the next phase involving cultivation trials of Sesuvium portulacastrum to assess bioaccumulation potential.
