By the end of the trading session on 06 June 2025, the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 closed lower by 0.27% and settled at 8,515.70. Out of the 11 sectors, 09 sectors ended lower along with the S&P/ASX 200.

Energy and Industrials is the top-gaining sector, gaining 0.70% and 0.45% in their it’s value. On the other hand, Information Technology and Healthcare are the top-losing sector, losing 0.69% and 0.68% in their index value.

Whitehaven Coal Limited (ASX: WHC) and Qantas Airways Limited (ASX: QAN) are the top-gaining stocks, gaining 3.577% and 3.461% in their stock prices. On the other hand, West African Resources Limited (ASX: WAF) and NUIX Limited (ASX: NXL) are the top-losing stocks, losing 8.397% and 6.123% in their stock prices.
