Highlights
Alligator Energy secured firm commitments to raise AU$15.0 million from institutional and sophisticated investors through a placement, while also launching a Share Purchase Plan that could raise up to a further AU$3.0 million.
The proceeds will fund resource drilling at Blackbush and Plumbush, complete drilling at the Big Lake Project, advance the Samphire mining lease application and progress the Samphire Feasibility Study.
Robust backing from institutional investors, including both long-term and new participants, reinforces market confidence in the company's strategic direction while securing funding to progress key development and exploration activities.
Alligator Energy Limited (ASX: AGE) is an Australian uranium development and exploration company focused on advancing high-quality uranium assets with clear development pathways. Its flagship Samphire Uranium Project in South Australia is supported by the Big Lake exploration project, positioning the company to benefit from growing global demand for nuclear fuel.AU$15 Million Capital Raising Strengthens Growth StrategyAlligator Energy received firm commitments to raise AU$15.0 million before costs through the issue of 333,333,334 new fully paid ordinary shares at AU$0.045 per share under an institutional placement. The capital raising attracted strong participation from existing shareholders together with new institutional investors from Australia and overseas, strengthening the company's investor base as it advances its uranium portfolio. In conjunction with the placement, Alligator Energy will launch a Share Purchase Plan, enabling eligible shareholders to acquire new shares at the same issue price and targeting up to AU$3.0 million in additional funding. Management believes the combined funding package provides the financial capacity required to accelerate several high-priority development and exploration initiatives.Funding Targets Samphire and Big Lake ProgramsThe majority of the proceeds will be invested directly into advancing the company's key uranium assets. Planned expenditure includes further resource drilling at the Blackbush and Plumbush deposits together with exploration across the corridor connecting both deposits to support future resource growth. Funding will also complete the current drilling campaign at the Big Lake Project, with the objective of delivering an exploration target estimate during 2027. In parallel, Alligator will progress the mining lease application and continue advancing the Samphire Feasibility Study, which is targeted for completion during the third quarter of 2027.Capital Supports Multiple Value-Creation ActivitiesBeyond exploration, the capital raising provides funding to progress several technical and development workstreams simultaneously. The company intends to continue resource expansion drilling at Samphire while advancing engineering, feasibility and permitting activities required to de-risk the project ahead of future development. Management also retains flexibility to allocate funding between drilling, feasibility work, business development and working capital to maximise long-term shareholder value as project priorities evolve.Placement Completed at a Discount to Market PriceThe placement will be completed in a single tranche under the Company's existing ASX Listing Rule 7.1 placement capacity. The AU$0.045 issue price represents a 15.1% discount to the last traded share price of AU$0.0530, a 14.1% discount to the five-day volume weighted average price and a 14.8% discount to the 20-day volume weighted average price. The new shares are expected to be issued on 12 August 2026 and will rank equally with existing ordinary shares. The accompanying Share Purchase Plan will enable eligible shareholders in Australia and New Zealand to apply for up to AU$30,000 of additional shares at the same issue price as the placement.Strengthened Funding Position Supports Long-Term GrowthChief Executive Officer Andrea Marsland-Smith said the strong institutional support reflects investor confidence in both the Samphire Uranium Project and Alligator's broader growth strategy. With a stronger balance sheet, continued drilling across Samphire and Big Lake, and major permitting and feasibility milestones planned over the next 12 to 18 months, the company believes it is well positioned to continue advancing its uranium portfolio while creating long-term value for shareholders.Note- All data presented is based on information available at the time of writing.Disclaimer for Kapitales ResearchThe materials provided by Kapitales Research, including articles, news, data, reports, opinions, images, charts, and videos ("Content"), are intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
