Trek Confirms High-Grade Manganese Discovery at Kuro with Strong Maiden Drill Results
Trek Metals Limited (ASX: TKM) has reported its first laboratory assay results from the maiden reverse circulation drilling programme at the Kuro Prospect within the Christmas Creek Project, confirming a significant high-grade, near-surface manganese discovery. Assays from the first 21 drill holes returned multiple high-grade manganese intersections, including a standout intercept of 10 metres at 42.3% manganese within a broader interval of 13 metres at 34.9% manganese. Fifteen of the 21 holes intersected manganese mineralisation above the 5% cut-off, while assay results also indicated favourable low-iron and low-phosphorus characteristics in higher-grade zones. The Company continues to advance induced polarisation surveying to identify additional concealed manganese targets across the broader prospective basin, with the remaining Phase 1 drill assays expected over the coming weeks. Additional earthworks and regional drilling programmes are also progressing ahead of further drilling at Kuro.
