Argent BioPharma Initiates U.S. Veterinary Development for CannEpil®
Argent BioPharma Limited (ASX: RGT) has taken another step in broadening the commercial reach of CannEpil® by commencing its U.S. veterinary development programme through its global licensing partner, Splash Beverage Group. Working alongside Lupvindol Biosciences, the initiative will initially target companion animals, with a focus on developing therapies for cancer-related conditions and chronic pain, beginning with canine applications. The programme will follow the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's veterinary regulatory framework, progressing through the Investigational New Animal Drug (INAD) process before seeking Conditional Approval. Development efforts will be overseen by Dr. Hunter Land, an experienced pharmaceutical executive with a background in advancing cannabinoid-based medicines through regulatory pathways. While the veterinary programme moves forward under its licensing partner, Argent BioPharma will continue to own all CannEpil® intellectual property, manufacturing expertise and regulatory assets, allowing the company to participate in future royalty streams while supporting the product's expansion into the global animal health market.
