Catalina Resources Expands Mid-West Gold Portfolio Through Strategic Acquisition and AU$3 Million Placement
Catalina Resources Limited (ASX: CTN) has announced a major expansion of its Mid-West and Lake Johnston exploration portfolio in Western Australia through a strategic acquisition and AU$3.0 million capital raising. The transaction strengthens Catalina’s exposure to highly prospective gold and base metal districts located near established mining centres and processing infrastructure.
Key assets include the Kirkalocka Project near the 2Mtpa Kirkalocka processing plant, the Tallering Project with approximately 30km of underexplored VMS and gold strike, and the historical high-grade Pithara Gold Mine, which reportedly produced around 9,000oz at 15.4g/t Au from shallow open-pit operations. Multiple advanced and drill-ready targets have already been identified through historical drilling, geophysics and geochemical programs. The AU$3.0 million placement will fund acquisitions, geophysics, drilling, target generation and broader exploration programs across the expanded project portfolio as Catalina advances its regional growth strategy.
