Grange Reviews Asset Values Amid North Pit Underground Project Optimisation
Grange Resources Limited (ASX: GRR) has announced that it is reviewing the carrying value of its assets as part of preparing its interim financial statements for the six months ended 30 June 2026. The assessment reflects ongoing uncertainty across global commodity markets and continued optimisation of the North Pit Underground Project (NPUG), where the Company is working to reduce external financing requirements while preserving long-term shareholder value. Based on the review undertaken to date, the Board expects to recognise a non-cash pre-tax impairment of between AU$300 million and AU$600 million relating to the carrying value of mine properties and development assets at its Savage River operations. The impairment review remains in progress, with the final outcome to be confirmed before the scheduled release of the Company's half-year financial results on 31 August 2026. The announcement relates solely to a non-cash accounting assessment and does not alter the Company's ongoing operational activities.
