IRIS Metals Limited (ASX: IR1) has strengthened its financial position by completing the sale of its shareholding in Arika Resources Limited for approximately AU$285,000. The divestment aligns with the company’s disciplined capital management strategy, allowing it to unlock value from a non-core investment while directing resources toward its primary portfolio of North American critical minerals projects. Management stated that the proceeds will improve funding flexibility and support ongoing exploration and development activities. The company also indicated it will continue evaluating opportunities to monetise non-core assets where doing so enhances shareholder value.
IRIS remains focused on advancing its critical minerals assets in the United States, including the Finley Basin Tungsten Project in Montana, where it is preparing a significant drilling campaign targeting historically identified tungsten mineralisation. The company also owns lithium and rubidium projects in South Dakota’s Black Hills, where drilling, metallurgical testing and resource definition work have already been completed. By concentrating capital on these strategically important assets, IRIS aims to build a diversified portfolio of North American critical minerals projects that can contribute to secure domestic supply chains and support long-term growth.
