ABx Group Confirms Over 98% Rare Earth Retention in Large Batch Testing

ABx Group Limited (ASX:ABX) has achieved exceptional results from large-batch tests at its Deep Leads Ionic Clay Rare Earth Project in northern Tasmania, confirming over 98% retention of rare earth elements with near-complete impurity removal. Conducted by ANSTO, the trials showed minimal aluminium contamination (Al:TREE ratio < 0.005), indicating the potential to produce a high-purity mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) at low cost.

The project’s high dysprosium (Dy) and terbium (Tb) content, combined with efficient low-cost leaching, strengthens ABx’s competitive position in the rare earths market. Production of the first MREC product sample is scheduled for late November, with distribution planned to prospective customers and offtake partners. Managing Director Dr. Mark Cooksey said the results confirm the project’s quality and reinforce growing customer interest in ABx’s clean-energy materials.
