St George Mining Secures Full Control of Araxá Project Following Early Payment Completion.

St George Mining Limited (ASX: SGQ) has successfully completed the early settlement of the remaining US$11 million owed to Itafos Inc. for acquiring full ownership of the Araxá Rare Earths and Niobium Project in Brazil. This early repayment, financed through proceeds from a strong AU$50 million institutional placement in October 2025, eliminates all Itafos-held securities, granting St George complete and unrestricted ownership of the asset. 

The Araxá Project boasts South America’s largest and highest-grade carbonatite-hosted rare earth resource, measured at 40.6Mt @ 4.13% TREO, and a niobium resource of 41.2Mt @ 0.68% Nb₂O₅. Backed by a total AU$72.5 million capital raise and encouraging drill results, the company is now well-positioned to accelerate development toward a Final Investment Decision, reinforcing its presence in the global critical minerals sector.
