AGL Energy Delivers Strong FY26 Cash Flow and Lifts Dividend as Transition Investments Advance

AGL Energy Limited (ASX: AGL) reported a resilient FY2026 performance, with improved cash generation, stronger customer outcomes and continued execution across its energy transition strategy. Underlying EBITDA increased 2% to AU$2.10 billion, while Underlying NPAT eased 2% to AU$631 million. Operating free cash flow rose 60% to AU$850 million, supporting continued investment in growth projects and a higher fully franked dividend of 50 cents per share for FY2026. Customer Markets EBITDA increased 32% to AU$392 million, supported by higher customer services, improved satisfaction and stronger consumer margins. AGL also progressed its flexible generation portfolio, with the Liddell Battery commencing operations and construction advancing at the Tomago Battery and Kwinana Swift Gas 2 Project. Looking ahead, FY2027 Underlying EBITDA is guided at AU$1.90 billion–AU$2.20 billion, with management targeting a dividend payout ratio of 55–60% of Underlying NPAT.
