OD6 Metals Strengthens Quinn Fluorspar Development Case
OD6 Metals Limited (ASX: OD6) has delivered encouraging test results from its Quinn Fluorspar Project in Nevada, supporting the potential for a streamlined and cost-efficient processing strategy. Sensor-based sorting trials demonstrated that fluorspar-rich material can be effectively separated from waste, which may reduce the volume requiring further treatment.
High-grade results were recorded across several deposits, led by Big Jim at 98.3% CaF₂, followed by Horseshoe at 90.0% and Blue Bell at 86.7%. Mineralogical analysis also indicated strong fluorite concentrations and relatively low levels of undesirable elements.
These outcomes could provide OD6 with flexibility to develop a simpler Metspar production route while maintaining scope for higher-value Acidspar production through additional processing. The Company will now undertake larger-scale sorting trials, further flotation studies and process optimisation to determine the most suitable processing configuration for the different mineralisation zones across Quinn.
