Can Barton Gold’s High-Grade Tolmer Assays Strengthen Its South Australian Precious Metals Strategy?
Barton Gold Holdings Limited (ASX: BGD) has reported further shallow, high-grade silver and gold assays from its Tolmer discovery at the Tarcoola Gold Project in South Australia, reinforcing the scale and continuity of the emerging mineralised system. The latest results follow a 3,677-metre RC drilling program, with the western silver zone extended to more than 500 metres of strike while additional broad intersections strengthened the eastern gold zone. Key results include 16 metres at 493 g/t Ag and 0.66 g/t Au from 50 metres, including 3 metres at 1,706 g/t Ag, alongside 13 metres at 364 g/t Ag and 0.74 g/t Au from 44 metres. The eastern gold zone returned 8 metres at 9.34 g/t Au and 13.6 g/t Ag from 90 metres, including 2 metres at 28.9 g/t Au. Barton will now progress structural interpretation, petrology and metallurgical testwork to assess recoverability and guide future drilling and potential mining concepts.
